A BETTER DAY FOR YOUR DOG
The Canine Co. is a small, training-focused dog day school in Brantford for small and medium dogs up to 30 lbs. We combine individual training, structured play, walks and enrichment with plenty of time to rest and recharge. It's a place to build confidence, develop good habits and enjoy a little adventure along the way.
Training Focused Day School
Day School is a more than a day of play. Dogs get one-on-one training, time to socialise, walks, enrichment and plenty of opportunities to practice the skills they're learning. We keep our groups small so every dog gets individual attention, with a good balance of activity and downtime throughout the day.Our goal is to set every dog up for success at home.
Membership Options
Choose the schedule that best supports your dog's needs and goals. We provide homework and guidance for owners, helping ensure the skills your dog learns at The Canine Co. transition smoothly into everyday life at home. All memberships are billed monthly or biweekly.
Kindergarten: 1 day per week
$185 biweekly
High School: 2 days per week
$345 biweekly
University: 3 days per week
$480 biweekly
Perfect for puppies getting the best possible start, with a focus on crate and potty training, socialization, confidence and engagement. Also great for dogs who want to maintain skills and trial day school.
More consistency means more opportunities to learn and practice. High School is designed to build on your dog's obedience, leash skills, confidence, impulse control and real-world reliability.
Our most immersive membership for dogs who thrive with consistency and regular practice. With three structured days each week, your dog has more opportunities for individualized training, confidence-building and meaningful progress toward their goals.
DAY SCHOOL
A Typical Day at Day School
Every day balances activity and rest, so dogs go home happy, fulfilled and relaxed. We are open Wednesday - Friday from 7:15am to 5:30pm. Here's what a day with us can include.
Calm Time
Quiet rest periods help dogs decompress, recharge and learn to settle in a busy environment.
Play & Socializing
Supervised play with well-matched friends builds healthy social skills and good manners.
One-on-One Training
Individual sessions focused on each dog's own goals, from basic manners to specific behaviors.
Walks
Structured walks offer exercise, fresh air and real-world practice for leash skills.
Mental Games
Puzzles, scent work and problem-solving games keep busy minds engaged and satisfied.
Confidence Building
Gentle exposure to new surfaces, sounds and challenges helps dogs feel brave and secure.
Small Groups, Flexible Days
Because we keep our groups small, we can shape each day around the needs of the dogs in it, adding more rest, play or training whenever the group needs it.
Programs
Board & Train
Designed for busy owners, our intensive board and train program provides consistent, professional guidance. Your dog stays with us to master core skills and reliable manners, returning home with a solid foundation for a balanced life. When your dog does a board and train, they will attend day school 3 days a week.
Minimum stay: 3 weeks, $3000+

We cannot recommend Canine Co. enough! We sent our Roxy for a 3 week board and train and she has come back a different dog in the best way. Before the board and train, Roxy was a nightmare to walk. She would constantly pull on walks, chew on furniture when home alone and jump up on our guests. The transformation has been incredible. Roxy is still her silly self but she is also now also obedient, well mannered and able to settle.
